Guadalupe

My name is Guadalupe, I am currently a sophomore at Northern Arizona University studying Criminology & Criminal Justice with a minor in Law, Rights, and Justice. I am studying this because my goal is to become a civil rights or immigrant attorney. I want to give back to my community by helping those whose rights have been violated or feel like their voice has been silenced.

Be A Leader has been a part of my life since my senior year of high school. They helped me apply for the FAFSA for the first time, guided me through college and scholarship applications and made me feel like I was not alone. I continue to thank Be a Leader because they continue to help me with college.

Both of my parents received an education only to the 3rd grade. They came to the United States hoping to give their children better opportunities than the ones they had. Receiving a college education and hopefully one day becoming an attorney will make sure I fulfilled the dreams my parents had for me when they immigrated to this country. I plan to give back further by helping the community that has been there by my side throughout this process.

I am beyond grateful to be a part of the Be a Leader community and will always thank them for helping me reach my dreams and full potential.
