Marilu Salgado

Marilu’s journey with the Be A Leader Foundation began during her senior year at Carl Hayden Community High School, where she participated as a Senior Bootcamp scholar. After graduating in 2019, she pursued a degree in Business Communications with a concentration in Professional Sales at Arizona State University.
Throughout her college journey, Marilu remained deeply involved in leadership and service, actively participating in organizations such as Hispanic Business Alumni, the Hispanic Business Student Association, the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, and the Be A Leader Foundation. These communities played a vital role in her academic and personal growth by offering mentorship, resources, and a strong support system.
Inspired by the impact these organizations had on her life, Marilu has made it her mission to give back by mentoring and empowering the next generation of students. Her current role with Be A Leader Foundation is as a College Success Coordinator for Community College Students. In her free time, she volunteers as a Sunday school teacher and translator at her local church, Ministerio Belén, where she continues to serve her community with dedication and heart.
