Hello, my name is Teresa Guerra and I’m an Improvement Coach for Be A Leader, working with schools in the Tolleson District. I am a first-generation, college graduate and alumna of Phoenix College, with an Associate of Arts degree and Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Science.

As an undergrad, I was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, and an intern for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI). I am currently in graduate school, pursuing a Master’s in Education in Postsecondary and Higher Education at Arizona State University.

I bring over ten years of experience working within the community colleges and non-profits and consider it my life’s work to foster diversity, equity and inclusion in higher education. My greatest joy is seeing former students walk across the stage at graduation.
