Tim DeSoto is the Founder and CEO of Goodlife AI, Inc., which provides an Intelligent Shopping Companion that helps people save valuable time, money, and effort.
He has devoted his career to empowering people through information and technology, first in content, then in commerce, and now in context powered by AI.
Prior to founding Goodlife, Tim spent more than seven years shaping the future of digital commerce at Walmart and Sam’s Club, where he led several eCommerce acquisitions in Walmart’s M&A/Corporate Development group, launched programs that deepened customer loyalty and unlocked more value for millions of members, including Sam’s Cash Bonus Offers and Sam’s Club’s Travel & Entertainment platform, and oversaw initiatives that helped scale Walmart+.
Before joining Walmart, Tim spent 15 years at the intersection of digital content and commerce, expanding the digital reach of The Wall Street Journal at Dow Jones and building global media partnerships across 27 countries on six continents for Barnes & Noble’s NOOK.
For more than 18 years, Tim has served on the Board of the Be A Leader Foundation, where he continues to champion college preparedness for students from underserved communities.
He earned his MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business and a BS in Finance, with a Certificate in International Business, from Arizona State University. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and kids.
